The Simcoe County District School Board has more than 100 school libraries, and all schools have a full-time teacher-librarian. There are approximately 1.5 million items in the current resource collection.

Teacher-librarians work with students and staff to develop collections that are engaging for students and staff. The goals are to provide relevant resources for learning, instruction and reading enjoyment.

Teacher-librarians work with students, staff, administration and families to support and improve student literacy and academic achievement.

Our Chapters Night for Trillium Woods was a huge success! We raised $651.00 for Mrs. Marling to buy new books for our library!.  Thanks to all of the performers, students and staff who came out to support our school. The next big fundraiser for the library will be our Scholastic Book Fair during the Fun Fair in June.

We are excited to be having author, Helaine Becker speaking to the primary students on Tuesday, May 23rd.  Ms. Becker has written over 50 books for children.  Her latest book is entitled, You Can Read. You can learn more about Ms. Becker on her website:
